About me.
I am a portrait artist and illustrator based in Brighton, England, with a career spanning two decades.
My work has been shortlisted three times for the Portrait Award at the National Portrait Gallery (2018, 2020 and 2024), and selected four times for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters annual exhibition (2019, 2021, 2022 and 2024).
In 2020 I appeared on Sky Portrait Artist of the Year, and in 2022 my painting of Alexander Nilere went on loan to Manchester City Art Gallery as part of their Dandy Style exhibition. I am also a founding member of The Contemporary British Portrait Painters collective, where I currently serve as Communications Lead.
Alongside painting, I work internationally as an illustrator, represented by AgencyRush. My clients include The Guardian, The New York Times, Dazed and Confused, Vanity Fair, TIME Magazine and Penguin Books. You can see more examples of my illustration work on the AgencyRush website, or via my illustration Instagram.
I regularly share my practice through teaching, talks and workshops, having delivered sessions at Central Saint Martins, Arts University Bournemouth and beyond. I also presented a series of short films on How to Draw for BBC Bitesize.
I am currently open for portrait commissions, illustration projects, lectures and workshops - please feel free to get in touch below to discuss ideas.
